SVG File FAQ — Formats, Machines, Licensing & Downloads

Everything we get asked about using SVG cut files — which format goes with which machine, why a file won't import, what the commercial licence actually covers, and how to get your downloads back. Written by the studio, not a support script.

No questions match that. Try a different word, or ask us directly.

Buying & downloads

How purchasing and delivery work at PickSVG.

How fast do I get my files after paying?

Immediately. The download link appears on the confirmation screen the moment payment clears, and the same link is emailed to you. There's no manual approval step and no waiting period — these are digital files, not print orders.

What exactly do I receive?

One ZIP file per purchase, containing five versions of every design: SVG, PNG, DXF, EPS and PDF. A bundle of 20 designs therefore delivers 100 files in one ZIP. Nothing is withheld for a paid upgrade — the price you see includes every format.

How do I open a ZIP file on my phone?

You can extract a ZIP on both iPhone (Files app → tap the ZIP) and Android (Files by Google → Extract), but we'd steer you toward a computer instead. Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio both need unzipped files from a desktop, so extracting on a phone usually means moving them again later. Your purchase stays in your account permanently — buy on your phone tonight, download on your computer on Saturday.

Is there a download limit or expiry?

No. Unlimited downloads, no expiry date, for as long as PickSVG exists. This is deliberate: most crafters browse on a phone and cut on a computer days later, and download links that expire in 24 hours break that entirely.

Do I need an account to buy?

You can check out as a guest, but an account is worth the extra thirty seconds — it's what gives you permanent re-downloads. If you checked out as a guest and later create an account with the same email address, your past orders link up automatically.

Are bundles better value than buying singles?

Substantially, yes. Bundles work out to roughly $0.45–$0.60 per design against $2.39–$2.99 for individual files. If you're producing a range of items in one theme — a market stall, a Father's Day run, a chapter order — the bundle almost always wins. Browse SVG bundles.
